Transmission gully is a road of national significant. This project includes up to 200ha of earthworks over approximately a 27 km roading project in the Wellington region. With sensitive receiving environments and steep and difficult terrain Ridley Dunphy Environmental Limited (RDE) assisted the contracting joint venture with the development of management plans associated with erosion and sediment control, chemical treatment and environmental monitoring. With these management plans now approved by Council, RDE are writing the site specific management plans for erosion and sediment control for implementation. With works now commenced RDE also continue in a role of undertaking site audits, erosion and sediment control training and development of further site specific management plans. Providing ongoing strategic advice and acting as experts in erosion and sediment control for the joint venture RDE continues to look for innovation and improvements in erosion and sediment control and moving forward with the implementation phase.
